iercefield Corporation was started in 1954 by E. D. Piercefield. He began building garages and homes, using innovative methods.

His objective was to produce as many of the building components as possible in his mill so that a high quality structure could be erected in the field at minimal cost. This system eliminated one of a contractor's biggest problems--lost days of work due to bad weather. Prefabrication proved to be a cost effective method of construction and soon other builders were asking him to build panels and trusses for them. The business was built around a family nucleus, with Eva Piercefield, E. D. 's wife, as controller, and Roy Piercefield, a son, as manager of the truss mill operation. E. D. pioneered the use of building components in the Greater Cincinnati area, proving to builders that this was a structurally sound and cost effective method of construction.

ImageToday, the business is owned by Roy Piercefield, who carries on the innovative spirit of his parents. The business focus is still on the builder in the field, and every decision made in doing a job considers the builder:

  • Will this make on-site construction easier?
  • Will this make it a structurally superior building?
  • Will the in-place cost be the most cost effective solution for the builder?

While other manufacturers have refused to do dual-pitch hip systems, valley systems, and attic trusses, PCI developed a method to design, produce and deliver workable systems that kept their builders ahead of competition. When others thought that panels were just for tract builders, PCI was producing panels for custom builders. When others were thinking of buying their first in-house computer, PCI had already developed a working multi-user system doing estimating, cutting, job tracking, and invoicing to improve service to their customers.

Today, a system of networked workstations connect two divisions and their production facilities together. Also, a company-wide voice communication system makes possible the free flow of job information. This enables good communication throughout the organization. It puts the full force of the company working at getting the job done accurately and delivered to the construction site on time.

Piercefield Corporation is a provider of reliable solutions to building designers, and a supplier of precision manufactured components to builders. Our products are application specific and quality manufactured to provide favorable cost benefits to the end user.

It is our goal to be the builder's most valued silent partner.
