September 18, 2007 - The National Association of Home Builders
(NAHB) today applauded the House for passing legislation to implement
reforms to the Federal Housing Administration’s single-family mortgage
insurance programs that would enable more working families to become
home owners. H.R. 1852, the Expanding American Homeownership Act of

million units, according to figures released by the U.S. Commerce
Department today. The increase followed downward revisions to the sales
rate for the previous three months, and the sales pace was down 14.2

From now through 2015, housing starts are unlikely to exceed last
year’s record 2.073 million single-family and multifamily units,
according to the long-term forecast just published by economists at
NAHB. However, starts won’t be too far from the record in at least a
couple of those years, and on average will exceed those of the previous

builders who are inclined to try a new building technology choose not
to use panelized construction? These are some of the questions asked in
this study conducted for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development's PATH (Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing)
